The project consisted of a comprehensive historic restoration of a mixed-use property located in the heart of Charleston featuring ground-floor retail and residential condominium units. The scope of work included restoration of the historic stucco façade, repointing of the multi-wythe brick masonry, replacement of windows, and installation of a new roof assembly. The building remained fully occupied throughout construction, requiring detailed coordination and phased execution to minimize disruption to residents, tenants, and neighboring properties. Due to the constrained urban site and historic significance of the structure, KRC worked closely with the Board of Architectural Review and local permitting authorities to coordinate access, logistics, and construction activities. Through proactive planning, communication, and execution, the project was successfully completed ahead of schedule and within the client's budget expectations.
