KRC removed and replaced the existing exterior wall assemblies down to the CMU or metal stud framing, including the masonry veneer, mortar-filled cavity, insulation, and gypsum sheathing where present. New gypsum sheathing was installed at metal stud areas before KRC installed a new continuous insulation system consisting of an air and water barrier, flashings, 4-inch channeled EPS insulation, reinforcing mesh embedded in a base coat, and a finish coat. KRC also replaced the elastomeric joint sealants, installed expansion joint stabilizers at masonry control joints, repointed masonry joints, and installed helical anchors where required. The project included replacement of the existing aluminum windows and reinstallation and sealing of the PTAC sleeves with two 4-inch weep slots per sleeve. To complete the scope, KRC restored the existing EIFS at the soffit crown.
