The project consisted of a large-scale multifamily restoration and reconstruction program involving removal and replacement of stucco, fiber cement siding and trim, exterior windows and doors, and both low-slope and asphalt shingle roofing systems. The scope also included extensive sheathing and structural framing repairs throughout the property, along with full demolition and reconstruction of exterior balcony systems. The property had previously been condemned by the City of North Charleston due to the severity of the structural and building envelope deficiencies. Through extensive coordination, phased reconstruction, and comprehensive structural restoration efforts, the project transformed the community and restored the property to safe occupancy standards. KRC understands this to be one of the largest multifamily restoration projects completed in the southeastern United States.
