The project consisted of comprehensive exterior maintenance and waterproofing repairs across multiple historic properties located along the King Street corridor in downtown Charleston. The scope of work included parapet waterproofing, metal coping replacement, stucco repairs, roof flashing and roofing repairs, sealant replacement, masonry and efflorescence repairs, drainage improvements, and restoration of metal roofing systems. Additional repairs included replacement of deteriorated stucco accessories, waterproofing at parapet assemblies, repair of roof membranes and flashing systems, installation of masonry weeps, repainting of metal roofs, and selective maintenance repairs to building envelope components. Due to the constrained urban site conditions, KRC coordinated temporary lane closures, pedestrian protection, and phased construction logistics while maintaining access to the occupied historic properties throughout the repair process.
